Biobest Laboratories Ltd purchased by Integrin Advanced Biosystems Ltd
We are pleased to inform our customers that the shares in Biobest Laboratories Ltd have been purchased by Integrin Advanced Biosystems Ltd. Biobest will continue trading as a subsidiary of Integrin under the same managers.
This sale will secure Biobest's future. Over the longer term we will have access to more modern technology with a critical mass of scientific expertise, a more diversified market including in particular the aquaculture industry and better access to capital to drive our ongoing growth.
The new Chief Executive is Dr Dougie McKenzie who established Integrin in 1999 and has the appropriate balance of business and scientific experience to take the business forward. The current senior managers will all remain with Biobest, and David Snodgrass will be involved with the new business as a consultant for at least the next two years.
