Equine Infectious Anaemia (EIA) Testing Biobest is pleased to announce the provision of The Agar Gel Immunodiffusion Test (AGID) or "Coggin's" Test for antibodies to EIA virus at an extremely competitive price of £9.95 +VAT.
This test allows British and Irish trainers to meet the relevant protocol, produced by the Horseracing Regulatory Authority (HRA) and British Horseracing Board (BHB), put in place to safeguard the British racehorse population. The protocol can be seen in full at www.thehra.org.
EIA is notifiable under the Infectious Diseases of Horses Order 1987. Horses on restricted premises are subject to testing by the VLA using the Coggin's Test as the DEFRA approved laboratory."
